A Haunted House

A haunted house is a house or other building often perceived as being inhabited by disembodied spirits of the deceased who may have been former residents or were familiar with the property. Parapsychologists attribute haunting to the spirits of the dead and the effect of violent or tragic events in the building's past such as murder, accidental death, or suicide. More scientific explanations for the perception that a house is haunted include misinterpreting noises naturally present in structures, waking dreams, suggestibility, and the effect of toxic substances in environments that can cause hallucinations.

Abbow description is according to Christinaty or Hinduism which is a myth and not true.

World of jinn

Being a muslim we believe that there is a world parallel to us that is the world of jinn created by Allah. The existence of the Jinn is firmly established by the Quran and the authentic Sunnah and the consensus of the Scholars (Ijma) it suffices to say that the word Jinn and its derivatives occur more than 29 times in the Quran. A related word shaytan and its plural shaytana together occur more than 80 times. In fact, there is an entire Surah called Surah Al-Jinn, which speaks in clear explicit terms about the Jinn. The reality which we have to affirm is that the Jinn live in an established world unseen to us. They eat and drink, and procreate. Similar to Humans, some are righteous while others are not.

The Jinn were created before the creation of mankind. There origin is from fire.

The Quran verified these facts in Surah Al-Hijr:

"And verily, We created mankind from sounding clay of altered smooth mud and the jinn We created from smokeless fire."

[QURAN 15:26-27]

The world of the jinn is an independent and separate world with its own distinct nature and features that are hidden from the world of humans. Jinns and humans have things in common, such as the ability to understand and choose between good and evil. The word jinn come from the Arabic root meaning “hidden from sight”. Allah Almighty says:

“… Verily he (shaytan) and his soldiers from the jinn or his tribe see you from where you cannot see them…”

[QURAN 7:27]

Types of jinn

Allah has created different types of jinn. Among them are some who can take on different forms such as dogs and snakes; some who are like flying winds with wings; and some who can travel and rest. Abu Tha`labah al-Khushni says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says:

“The jinn are of three types: a type that has wings and they fly through the air; a type that looks like snakes and dogs; and a type that stops for a rest then resumes its journey.”

[Reported by At-Tahawi in Mushkil Al-’Athar]

What are Haunted Places?

Haunted places are actually the places where these jinns duel or in other words the places possessed by these jinns. Sometimes the activities of these jinns are seen by the humans at these places and that is why they are named as haunted places.
