Family Planning
It is a concept that is spread out by the western countries that we should control our birth rate otherwise there will be a sever lack of food and necessities of life after 40 or 50 years, As the population will be doubled in these years.
Islam has completely different approach about this. Muslims have evidences in hadiths and in Holy Quran about the wars, in which hundreds of humans will vanish like World War 1 and World War 2, so in Muslim believe they don’t have to worry about birth rate Allah is the owner and creator of this universe and HE is the one who runs the cycle of life.
Family planning in the light of Hadiths and QURAN
Muslims have three sources from where they get knowledge and answers of their questions.
- From Holy Quran
- From Hadiths (that are sayings of Holy Prophet) and Sunnah (that are the acts of Holy Prophet)
- From ULMA and scholars who are qualified enough to interpret the teachings of Islam.
Now we first talk about Holy Quran. There are many verses which appreciates having child and forbids killing of child in fear of poverty. Some of those verses are as follows
“And Allah has made for you spouses of your own kind and has made for you, from your wives, sons and grandsons, and has bestowed upon you good provisions” [Holy Quran 16:72]
And in another verse Allah said:
“Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world” [Holy Quran18:46]
