The Quranic healing therapy during Islamic Exorcism is 100% safe, as mentioned in the QURAN, that
Holy Quran is a healing and mercy for the believers, but loss to who does not believe.”
[QURAN 17:82]
Usually people under magic/ sihir or influence of Jinn / demonic possession, react to the Holy Quran negatively, because the Quranic verses tend to punish and burn the evil/unjust Jinns that are nesting in their bodies or outside of the body and that’s why they react negatively, and these reaction are very noticeable in the victims like they will cry, shout, sleep, aggressiveness or talk to stop recitation. However, this can be just during the initial phases of Ruqyah, with continued Quranic treatment all the Jinn’s will be forced to leave and once they leave, get burnt or die, there would be visible signs of improvement in the body and in the attitude of victims.
Islam and psychiatry
Narrated ‘Ata bin Abi Rabah:
Ibn ‘Abbas said to me, “Shall I show you a woman of the people of Paradise?” I said, “Yes.” He said, “This black lady came to the Prophet Muhammad Sallelaho Alehe Wasallam and said, ‘I get attacks of epilepsy (Fits) and my body becomes uncovered, please invoke Allah Azzawajal for me. The Prophet Muhammad Sallelaho Alehe Wasallam said to her, ‘If you wish, be patient and you will have enter Paradise and if you wish, I will invoke Allah Azzawajal to cure you.’ She said, ‘I will remain patient’ and added, ‘but I become uncovered, so please invoke Allah Azawajal for me that I may not become uncovered.’ So Muhammad Sallelaho Alehe Wasallam invoked Allah Azzawajal for her.”
[Sahih al-Bukhari Volume 7, Book 70, No. 555]
The prophet Muhammad Sallelaho Alehe Wasallam didn’t attempt to help her through exorcism, he prayed for her illness, that means Islam recognizes psychiatrist illnesses and there is a difference between them and possession, good Muslim exorcists are able to differentiate between them and refer patients to psychiatrists or Doctor rather than attempting to perform exorcism.
